Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump leads Hillary Clinton by two points in a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday. It was the first time Trump led Clinton since May.
The poll – conducted July 22 to 26 – came after the end of the Republican convention and after the first day of the Democratic convention, which was marred by disunity between Clinton and Sanders supporters early in the day.
Trump had 39 percent of likely voters while Clinton had 37 percent – another 24 percent said they would vote for neither. The poll had a credibilty interval of four percentage points.
Clinton led by three points Friday, which was within the interval.
It was the second poll in two days that had Trump leading Clinton.
