Elizabeth Banks started mocking Trumps entrance last week, with Queen’s “We Are The Champions” as his message.
Banks compared her Hunger Games character in a joke aimed at Trump.
“My father, a Vietnam vet, worked second and third shift in my hometown. My mother worked at the library and the local bank. They worked hard and struggled. They wanted to give us kids – four of us – opportunity. Something that Democrats helped build.”
Banks said, thanks to the parents, she was able to get an education and a scholarship. She mentioned a first date she took in 1992, which was to a Clinton for President for rally where she learned an important rule in show business – watch out for someone stealing the show from the headliner. She said she saw Hillary and was impressed. They rolled a video package of Clinton speaking about children. This was followed by Philadelphia social worker and child advocate Thaddeus Desmond.
