Peter Thiel described life in Silicone Valley. He said one side of the valley is thriving, but crossing the bridge you see life is much different. Wall Street bankers purposely create bubbles to inflate their profits at the expense of the working class.

Thiel talked of growing  up in Cleveland. His dad went to Case Western Reserve University. He said in the 1960s, one city wasn’t the tech capital, it was the whole country.

He said fighting over who gets to use which bathroom is a distraction, “Who cares.”

Thiel said, “I’m proud to be gay, I’m proud to be a Republican and I’m proud to  be  an American.” The line got tremendous applause and a “USA” chant.

He took umbrage against the culture war, and said the party needs to concentrate on getting Donald Trump into the White House and stop Hillary Clinton.
