Willie Robertson started his speech, saying it was a bad year for the media who kept “getting it wrong” in reference to Trump winning the nomination. They didn’t “understand the people who like to hunt, or fish, or pray.”

“If you want a job, Donald Trump will have your back. If you are a businessman like me, Donald Trump will have your back. If you are a service man overseas, Donald Trump will have your back. If you are an average person who believes the deck is stacked against you, by people far off and away, Donald Trump will have your back.”

Robertson said you may not always agree with Trump or his style, but he’s the right candidate.

Scott Baio took stage next, and congratulated Vietnam veteran Lt. Col. Charles Kettles on receiving the Medal of Honor this morning. He said America is a great place if you are willing to sacrifice and want more than free stuff. He said the U.S. is in a spot and Donald Trump is who will fix it.

“He’s just a man – who wants to give back to his country.”

He addressed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. He said a vote for her would be a vote to continue the same policies that has left America unsafe.

“Let’s make America great again.”

Former Texas Governor Rick Perry gave a stirring introduction for former Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, who was greeted with chants of “USA” from the audience.

Luttrell spoke of his father serving in Vietnam, and the negative reaction to the war only fortifying in his father to raise him and his twin brother to love their country. His speech was very emotional.

“We have to make sure the hell our veterans return from isn’t the one they come home to. That’s what’s promised.”

“I know Mr. Trump understands what it takes to fix this. The only way to keep America safe is to have an elite military. … We have to stand together. The only way for one life to matter is for all life to matter.”

“My generation, our war was over there, this generation, their war is here. Who among you is going to take the fight to the enemy, because it’s here.”

“Outside the borders the world is a scary place. America is the light. I spent the first 20 thankful you allowed me to serve you, I hope to spend the next 20 paying you back.
